Welcome to the SoyBase Soybean EST Search Page
Last Database Update November, 2006
This page provides querying tools for the soybean EST collection. When there is a choice of output formats, choosing HTML will return the data formatted for display in your browser while TEXT returns the data in a tab-delimited form that can be copied to the clipboard or saved to your computer.
Perform a text search of the EST Library annotations
This search will return a list of the EST Libraries whose annotation matches the search term(s).
- Searches are not case sensitive.
- Boolean operators can be used for multiword searches or to limit the scope of the search.
- The ? and * wildcard characters can be used where ? matches any single character and * will match any number of characters. For example, the search string 'glycin?' would match any 7 letter word starting with 'glycin' (i.e. glycine) while 'glycin*' would match words of any length as long as they started with 'glycin' (e.g. Glycineae, glycination, etc.). Note that wildcards are not allowed in complex searches, i.e. those with parentheses.
Examples of valid search strings are:
- young AND cotyledon
- leaf OR meristem
- leaf AND meristem BUTNOT flower
- leaf AND (meristem OR flower)
