Turn on the camera (this is done on the dial that is on the right side – it has an orange A and green P) On the front
of the dial (side with the lens) there is a small switch (kind of hidden) move this. As this is moved you should be
able to see near the ‘film-advance lever’ the words “on”, “off”, or “on)”. I guess the “on)” is to have audible beeps.
This camera can show you how to set it up!
- Put your finger on the center of the dial with the A and P on it (mentioned above) where the black and silver are. This is a sensor. This is also the button you will use to take the picture.
- Look through the viewer. (Make sure the cap is off of the lens). Do you see the numbers on the right side as you are looking though the viewer? (Keep you finger on the sensor or the light will go away.)
- You should see a red light by the numbers. These are the numbers used to control lighting. The number you see in the viewer when you are ready to shoot is the number you need to set the dial with the A and P on it. (Obviously this is an important buttonJ!). Note that as you point the lens towards different lighting the red dot will move.
- To move the dial with the A and P on it, you may need to push the little black square button on the top right hand side.
You may also focus the camera by turning the lenses. See the book for more details on this.
To actually shoot the picture, push the sensor button down. (The center of the dial with the A and P on it.)
When you are done be sure to shut the camera off. (See the first step to help with this.)
To Load film:
On the left side of the camera, there is a dial. In the center of the dial there is a ‘thing’ that lifts up. Lift it up. This will
open the door to where you put the film.
Put the film in the camera, have it unrolled far enough for it to reach the bar the film rolls around.
Click the button as to take a picture.
Wind with the film advance lever.
Repeat steps 3 & 4 once or twice until the film has gone around the bar one complete turn.
On the top right hand side of the camera, you should see the start of a red mark in a little viewer and the picture
should be at 1.
