1. Check instruction manual for maximum rpm and weight for the particular rotor being used and do not exceed. Follow safety instructions listed for centrifuge and rotor.
2. Make sure buckets are properly hooked for swinging bucket rotors (where buckets are present). Make sure rotor is properly placed in centrifuge.
3. Balance tubes or bottles symmetrically.
4. Use only tubes and bottles designed for the centrifuge and approved for the solvent being used.
5. Make sure lid is completely shut and locked in place.
6. Do not open the lid until the centrifuge has stopped spinning.
