Post-doctoral Research Associate
in Soybean Molecular Breeding
A post-doctoral research associate
position is available at the University of Missouri-Columbia to conduct soybean
molecular breeding in collaboration with soybean breeders. The successful candidate
will perform high throughput genotyping using microsatellite and SNP markers
and involve in genetic mapping of economically important traits. The lab is
well equipped and supported by a major research instrumentation grant from the
National Science Foundation. Individual will maintain liaison between soybean
breeders for timely selection of lines using molecular markers. Candidates for
this position should have a Ph.D. degree in biological disciplines reflecting a
strong background in application of molecular marker technology and handling of
state of the art equipment used for marker-assisted selection. This position
requires good communication skills and an ability to establish effective
working relationships in a team environment. Applications will be considered until
