Abstract:BSR101, whose parentage is L69U40-16-4 X A76-304020, belongs to maturity group I and is best adapted to latitudes of 43-44°N. In comparison with Hardin, BSR101 is 5 cm shorter and has slightly higher seed yield, better lodging resistance, better resistance to Fe-deficiency chlorosis on calcareous soils, and heavier seeds with higher protein content. BSR101 is more resistant to Phialophora gregata than public cultivars of similar maturity, has specific resistance to race 1 of Phytophthora megasperma f. sp. glycinea, and is moderately resistant to Diaporthe phaseolorum var. sojae.
