Abstract:Originating as an F4 selection in the cross Centennial X Young and released in 1990, this determinate, maturity group 7 Glycine max cultivar is noted for its high seed yield (which averaged 6 and 16% higher than that of Stonewall and Thomas, respectively, after late June sowings in South Carolina) and multiple nematode resistance (it is resistant to Heterodera glycines race 3, moderately resistant to Meloidogyne incognita and performed well in fields infested with Hoplolaimus columbus).
