Abstract:Glasshouse inoculation tests on the F1, F2 and F3 generations of crosses between resistant and susceptible soybean cvs. indicated that resistance to the soybean str. of CCMV was conditioned by an allele at a single locus, designated as Rcv, which exhibited complete dominance under the test conditions. Four crosses between resistant and susceptible varieties of Glycine max were studied. Greenhouse inoculation tests performed on the F1, F2 and F3 generations indicated that resistance is controlled by an allele at a single locus, designated Rcv, which exhibited complete dominance in this study.
