Title:Feeding preference studies of adult Nezara viridula (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) morphs from India and the United States [on soybeans, green beans]

Abstract:Nezara viridula (L.) is a polymorphic pest of cosmopolitan distribution. The feeding preferences of morphs from India and the USA for pods of soy bean and green bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) were determined in laboratory tests in the USA. Adults of a morph from the USA apparently selected pods at random, while those of 3 sympatric morphs from India generally preferred green-bean pods.
