Abstract:Released in 1995 and derived from the cross 311 × Resnik, this soyabean (Glycine max) cultivar (PI593463) is noted for its high yield potential and resistance to Phytophthora sojae (conferred by the resistance gene Rps1-k). General is a maturity group III (relative maturity 3.9), indeterminate cultivar adapted as a full-season cultivar at latitudes of 39-41°N
