Authors:Zhukovskaia, S.A.

Abstract:Infection reaches a peak just before harvest. The roots of wild soybeans are not infected. The fungus persists in the soil and probably on seeds. In culture C. cassiicola sporulated on soybean agar and on sterilized autoclaved soybean seeds. Of 114 fungal isolates investigated those of Aspergillus japonicus and Penicillium spiculisporum were the most antagonistic to the pathogen.
