Title:Sclerotinia blight of soybean caused by Sclerotinia minor and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
Authors:Phipps, P.M., Porter, D.M.
Source:Plant Dis. 1982, 66(2):163-165
Abstract:In Aug. 1978 the disease was found in SE Va. where soybean and groundnut are major field crops. S. minor caused blight in all the soybean fields but 1, where S. sclerotiorum was the pathogen. Pathogenicity tests demonstrated that both S. spp. were virulent on both crops. Because of the sporadic incidence of the disease on soybean, it is thought to have little or no effect on yield. The continued intercropping of soybean and groundnut may increase its occurrence on both hosts.
