Abstract:During a field trial in Delhi, India, 190 soyabean germplasms were evaluated for resistance to Melanagromyza sojae, root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) and yellow mosaic disease, which is caused by a virus transmitted by the aleyrodid Bemisia tabaci. Nineteen of the germplasms with less than 20% stem tunnelling in 1983 were subjected to a replicated trial in 1984 to determine resistance to all 3 organisms. Only PK-628 was resistant to all 3.
