Abstract:In a survey of fungal root rot pathogens of soyabean conducted in the Red River Valley of Minnesota and North Dakota, USA, in 1991-92, C. cassiicola represented 4% of the 1863 fungal isolates obtained. C. cassiicola was present in 57 of 705 of fields surveyed. The pathogenicity of 4 of these C. cassiicola isolates was confirmed. This is thought to be the first report of C. cassiicola in the Red River Valley.
