Title:Screening soybean for budblight resistance caused by tobacco ring spot virus
Authors:Gopal, K.
Source:Plant Dis. Res. 1996, 11(1):89-90
Abstract:Budblight, caused by tobacco ringspot nepovirus, is a seedborne and highly destructive disease of soyabean. Soyabean genotypes were screened to identify sources of resistance against this disease. The incidence of budblight varied from 0-86.3%. Of the 86 genotypes tested, 6 were highly immune, 6 were highly resistant and 10 were resistant. The remainder were highly susceptible or susceptible.
